Zocor

Zocor is a member of a class of cholesterol lowering drugs that are commonly referred to as "statins". Statins lower cholesterol levels by blocking a specific enzyme in the body that is involved in the synthesis of cholesterol. Zocor is a lipid-lowering agent (“statin”) approved to reduce LDL and increase high-density lipoprotein (HDL) (good) cholesterol levels and reduce the risk of cardiovascular events such as heart attack and stroke.
