GEORGIA IMMIGRATION LAW EXPERIENCE
Charles H. (“Chuck”) Kuck, Managing Partner of the Immigration Practice Group at Weathersby Howard & Kuck, LLC, leads a practice that handles all areas of immigration law. Mr. Kuck’s practice encompasses the immigration needs of large national employers such as Blanket L visas, H-1B visas, E-2 visas, TN visas and immigrant visas, as well as the employment-based immigration and family-based immigration cases of Atlanta area employers and individuals. The Firm also handles a wide range of deportation, exclusion, removal, asylum and indefinite detention type immigration cases. Mr. Kuck litigates his clients’ immigration cases in the federal courts, forcing the Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Service (“BCIS”) to account for the lost time and money spent chasing down long, delayed cases.
A nationally recognized attorney in the field of immigration law, Mr. Kuck is a member of the Executive Committee (National Secretary) of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (“AILA”). Over the years, he has served on various national and local liaison and practice area committees for AILA, and has spoken on a variety of immigration topics at many AILA, ABA and State Bar sponsored conferences. Mr. Kuck is also Editor-in-Chief of AILA’s Litigation Toolbox. He was awarded the “Joseph F. Minsky Young Lawyer Award for Outstanding Contributions to the Practice of Immigration Law,” and has been listed for many years in the Who’s Who of International Corporate Immigration Attorneys.
Within Weathersby, Howard & Kuck’s Immigration Practice Group, Mr. Kuck directs the activities of attorneys and staff who prepare the immigrant and nonimmigrant visas. In the Immigrant Visa category, Weathersby, Howard & Kuck prepare labor certification cases (including regular, RIR and soon-to-be PERM), extraordinary ability immigrant cases, outstanding professor and researcher immigrant visas cases, multi-national manager and executive immigrant visa cases, exceptional ability immigrant visa cases, advanced degree holder immigrant visa cases, professional immigrant visa cases, skilled and unskilled immigrant visas cases, special immigrant (including battered spouse and juvenile) cases, religious worker and minister immigrant cases, and immigrant investor cases.
In the Nonimmigrant Visa category, Weathersby, Howard and Kuck prepares E-1 and E-2 Treaty Trader and Treaty Investor Visas, H-1A, H-1B, and H-1C Nonimmigrant Working Visas, L-1A and L-1B Intracompany Transferee Visas (managers and executives as well as specialized knowledge workers), O-1 Extraordinary Ability Nonimmigrant Visas, P-1, P-2, and P-3 Entertainers Visas, R-1 Religious Worker Visas, as well as assisting with B-1 and B-2 Business and Pleasure Visitor Visas, extensions of status, F-1 Student Visas and related practical training, J-1 Cultural Exchange and Practical Training Visas, K-1 Fiance Visas, K-2 and K-3 Spouse of United States Citizen Visas, and M-1 Vocational Training Visas.
Weathersby, Howard & Kuck also represents employers in I-9 investigations and responses, and serves as liaison and advocate before the Bureau of Customs and Immigration Enforcement (“BICE” or “ICE”) and the Bureau of Customs and Border Protection (“BCBP”) in the areas of entry, inspection, Notice to Appear, removal proceedings, bond hearings and bond requests, and other hearings and interviews before the Asylum Office, Immigration Officers, Agents and Special Agents, the Immigration Judge, and the Board of Immigration Appeals (“BIA”).
