WORKERS COMPENSATION

Florida's workers' compensation law is the “exclusive remedy” for wage loss, medical treatment and death benefits if you are injured while “on the job” in Florida, regardless of fault. In other words, if you are hurt at work, your remedy is to file a work comp claim.

The benefits you are entitled to are set out under Chapter 440 of the Florida statutes. They include medical treatment, physical therapy, and job retraining.
